Red and Gordo: An old timer and a young pup.

Red is described by his person, Amy, as a crusty old man (which made me giggle).  But he has a ton of love left in him, and it was amazing to watch how much Amy loves him in return.  He's not so great at walking, so she wheels him around in a wagon to take him for walks.  There's a picture I saw from his birthday in which his wagon is decorated with balloons and bunting, and he doesn't look the least bit embarrassed.  Red is awesome, as is his brother Gordo.  I had the pleasure of walking Gordo for a week a few months ago, and he's so much fun to be around.  We walked to City Garden, where one of the security guards is gaga for him and has to give him a meal's worth of treats. Amy is a dog trainer, and she has taught Gordo some great tricks.  Hey, as long as there's a tasty reward, he'll do just about anything.

Daisy and Benny: A couple of witty pitties.

Despite being totally annoyed with me for trying to stick my camera in her face, Daisy was nice enough to pose for a little while.  Her friend Benny ate it all up.

Mr. Wobbles: It's not just a clever name.

Mr. Wobbles is aptly named.  He wobbles when he walks.  He wobbles when he grooms.  He wobbles when he sniffs around.  Oh, and he only has four teeth, one of which tends to poke out of his mouth.  But don't tell him anything seems off.  Mr. Wobbles is a very happy and confident cat.  He may look crotchety, but he's actually a lover.  I can vouch. In between shots I got all kinds of kisses.

Mackie: "Hello, camera, my name's Mackie! Would you like to be friends?"

Mackie is crazy for honey nut Cheerios, wears a collar mixed with skulls and hearts, loooves running up to other dogs to meet them, and overall is a ham.

Lucy and Layla: 'Sisters, sisters. There were never such devoted sisters.'

Lucy and Layla are sisters.  Lucy is boldly curious, while Layla is cautiously inquisitive.  Layla is playful but polite, and Lucy is a bit more mischievous.  They do have a couple things in common, though: each girl loves her sister, and they are both darling.

Lucy Goosey

Darling little wiry haired dog with a funny long body + a red hoodie that she basically hates = Lucy.  I couldn't NOT take her picture.

It's (S)now or Never!

I'm wondering if other photographers in St. Louis faced the same internal debate I did this morning.  Ooooh, snow!  I should go take pictures in the snow because snow doesn't happen every day!  But, it's so cold out, and I'm so snuggly inside...in my pajamas...with cats snuggling around me...

After a warm bowl of homemade butternut squash soup (courtesy of Joe) and promises to myself of more snuggling while I edit photos, I put on my galoshes and headed outside to the cold, cold, bitterly cold outside.

There's something about a day covered in white fluff that feels nostalgic to me.  What's your favorite snow-related memory?  Mine is when my dad convinced me to sled down a hill backwards when I was around 11, and I slid right into a ditch at the bottom.  All caught on video, thank you very much.
