It's (S)now or Never!

I'm wondering if other photographers in St. Louis faced the same internal debate I did this morning.  Ooooh, snow!  I should go take pictures in the snow because snow doesn't happen every day!  But, it's so cold out, and I'm so snuggly inside...in my pajamas...with cats snuggling around me...

After a warm bowl of homemade butternut squash soup (courtesy of Joe) and promises to myself of more snuggling while I edit photos, I put on my galoshes and headed outside to the cold, cold, bitterly cold outside.

There's something about a day covered in white fluff that feels nostalgic to me.  What's your favorite snow-related memory?  Mine is when my dad convinced me to sled down a hill backwards when I was around 11, and I slid right into a ditch at the bottom.  All caught on video, thank you very much.

  1. I, most unfortunately, convinced my sister Mary to stick her tongue to a light pole in our pack yard. We got hot chocolate afterwards. I also got in trouble.

  3. Colleen, hadn't you ever seen A Christmas Story?! Actually, I didn't see it until I was probably 12, so I can see this happening I guess. WAIT, did you do this KNOWING what would happen?

  4. I like the boots best too. Good job, Julie. You didn't eat any yellow snow while you were out there though, right?

  5. It's not that I KNEW what would happen - I mean - I had heard that it MIGHT happen. It was for science!
